Subaru Impreza, Advanced Airbags?

My Mother is transporting J much more often now and will be caring for him while I'm in L&D, etc.
Due to this situation, I took her Wizard and replaced it with the MyRide, so that he can RF when she has him.

She didn't often transport him before, so I never got concerned with it...

Advanced airbags?

I believe her Impreza is a 2008. MyRide is RF passenger outboard. This car has a crap-load of room, so even with the passenger seat pushed back even with the drivers, there is about 3-4" of room between the seat and the MR. For normal people, this would be very satisfying, lol.
Mom's live-in boyfriend is over 6' tall and likes that front seat to sit almost in the back. We went passenger side so that he could still drive the car with no issues, but if he is a passenger, can he push the seat back any farther? How much can the MyRide be pressed against that seat before causing issues with the airbags?

After 3 hours with customer service for subaru this is what they suggest. If you can put a piece of paper inbetween the passenger seat and the back of the car seat, and pull it out then it's allowed, but the car seat is not allowed to brace on the passenger seat due to the airbags. I have a 2006 impreza wrx and called since the wording in the manual is so vague.
