The Solomon Method to RF'ing in an Element

*When installing the seat back sure to install with the vehicle seat-back all the way down and make sure your install is TIGHT without the vehicle seat-back in place.

1. Enter Element from the rear.

2. Pull down seat-back as low as it will go.

3. Have your Solomon climb into his seat.

4. Make sure he takes a moment to ponder the Portland sights.

5. Leave his harness loose... I haven't tested it, but I'm assuming if you pull on the harness adjuster it's going to be enough pressure (remember the 35 pound child leaning back in the seat already) to move the seat base away from the "seat bight".

6. Put the seat-back all the way back up and tighten harness.

7. Load Bob and you're ready to go!!

I figured this out yesterday when we got to where we were going and he was asleep, I thought my install was tight enough to allow it... I was right!!
So So So much easier than loading from the side in an Element... Especially with a Frontier in the other seat! And I swear it's harder now that it's in booster mode.

Taking in the sights!! I love it!!! He is so handsome :D

Right after the picture he jumps and points and YELLS, "OH! More Puppy!?!" it's always a question when he sees a dog. haha
And then you can see the dog is going by in the next picture where he's turned sideways and pointing out the window.

And thanks! I cut his hair so I always kinda wonder if I'm the only one who thinks it looks alright.

We did!!
We actually got them at the Posh Baby Boutique across from our fountain! hehehe I loved that place, we had a great time trying out the push bike and I loved the glass bottles and clothing style.

why is it so hard to load? because of the way the back doors open? I would think it would be easier.
It is very hard to load but the doors are awesome! PLENTY of room to hop in out of the rain and help the kids into their seats, room for our dog to lay on the floor beneath their feet. Here's the dead on of the seat and the door frame.

Ah, now I see. I didn't realize the seats were that far back from the door. I used one briefly when they first came out when I was a nanny, but both kids were FF.

He is adorable!!

We were *this close* to buying an Element. it. Had my color picked out, tests drives done, etc. Was looking for the best deal. Then... we found out we were having baby #3. :p

I love it too! So much so that I'm still back and forth on whether or not I want to sell it when we start planning for #3. lol I mean, we need to replace one of our vehicles and frankly the Subaru Outback can go (it could've left yesterday as far as I'm concerned). I want an Odyssey. We could keep the Element for messy jobs and hauling stuff (if the Element can't haul it, the Outback can't either, I realize the Element is a truck, it just hauls better than the Outback).
