Is there less shoulder room in the XT vs the 65/80?

I have to get a three across in the third row of our suburban. One seat has to be rfing, one seat has to be hwh. I thought about getting a radian for dd3. She weighs almost 50 lbs, is at the second from the top slots of her GN. She fits great in the TF and has some room for growth there and a smidge left in the MA but in the MA her shoulders are crowded. I will probably need to use the radian with her shoulders over the top slots for a bit as buckling a booster will be tight. What seat will she have more room in?
I have checked the three across thread repeatedly and have had no luck with the third row. Can anyone help me find a solution that will work?

My DD is 43 inches tall and 35 lbs. Her shoulders are just below the second to top slot on the GN and second to top slot on Radian XT and two clicks from the top of the Frontier and at the top height on the Boulevard.

Radian has memory foam, old Radians didn't have this so I'm not sure if it is allowed to take it out but that would also give more height if allowed.

The wings don't get in the way. It does make a nice seat for three across.

As long as the child is below the top slots, there is no difference in shoulder room for 65/80/XT. The headwings of the XT only go as high as the top slots, so I don't know if it would be practical to have a child over the top slots of the XT, though it is technically allowed.

DS is over the top slots in his XT and hasn't complained about the head wings, BUT I just got a 65SL and I really really like how he fits in it better than the XT. He's extremely narrow, but I could see a bulkier kid being uncomfortable in the XT once they get over that last slot. (DS is 6 and a few months but only weighs 42 pounds, he's VERY skinny)

If I had to do it all over again, I would have just purchased the 65 in the first place.

The 65 are great seats! We had a RN 80 but sold it and replaced it with a RN XT Nassau on sale. Our captains chairs in our Uplander are right next to the door so I wanted the wings for her. If I had a vehicle with good crash ratings I would have just kept the RN 80.

Exactly. I drive a Subaru Tribeca (excellent crash test ratings- side impact airbags in the second row, PLUS DS is in the center) and had I known how much I'd like the 65, I wouldn't have spent the extra on the XT. Now, DD is 4 and outboard, and although we have a very safe car, I do feel better with her in the seat with wings. I know it's all mental. The 65 HAS SIP but not wings, and is a perfectly safe seat. I'm glad I got it on sale when I did because otherwise I never would have tried it thinking that the XT is superior.
