I am looking at purchasing two new car seats. I have three nieces, S. is four, and weighs 37 pounds and 38 inches, L. is 30 months and weighs 27 pounds and 32.5 inches, and A. who is two months old, and weighs in at 14 pounds and is about 23 inches. I don't have them together in the car always. A. is riding in a Peg infant car seat, so I just use that as needed. I also hvae an Evenflo Triumph, and a graco car go (this is the one I am looking at getting rid of, do not like it). I am looking at purchasing two new seats. 1. two graco nautilus car seats, use the Triumph for the infant, once she grows out of her infant car seat. 2. One graco nautilus, and on Graco My ride 65, only the baby will be rear facing. Triumph for L. My ride for A. and graco nautilus for S. 3. 2 first years true fit's. I am looking at keeping them in Harnesses as long as possible. S. has been at 35 pounds for over two years. She hasn't grown much in height or weight, she is just little. L. is really in the same boat. A. is growing very quickly, won't be in the infant car seat for much longer. I do not have much money to purchase these car seats, but safety is my number 1 concern. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. I also drive a 1998 Chevy Cavalier.

My concern would be fitting 3 across.

If money is a concern (sounds like it is?) I would get an Evenflo Maestro and a Safety 1st Avenue. I would RF the 2 year old in the avenue until the baby outgrows the infant seat. These seats are much more narrow than the ones you mentioned, and also MUCH more affordable! I think you would have difficulty fitting a nautilus, triumph, and my ride three across- these are some of the widest seats on the market. If this is just for occasional use on shorter trips, it would also be acceptable to put the older child in a booster like a high back turbobooster. Cheapest option would be, actually, a turbobooster and an avenue. And you can throw in a cosco scenera for the baby and you'll have them all set for some time- for the cost of one nautilus.
