LATCH limits?

My car seat manual said to check my owners manual for my vehicle's weight restrictions on the LATCH system. My owners manual does not contain this information. Is it different for all vehicle's? is there a standard limit? were else would i be able to find this info?
i have a 2009 pontiac wave and was looking to install my nautilus but was unsure the weight limits would be high enough

US vehicles do have LATCH weight limits documented in the manuals. Some Canadian carseat instructions still state this, although it's rare to see the weight limits published in Canadian vehicle manuals. It's just to confuse us all :)

The official weight limit for your anchors is 48lbs, although because it's a 2009 model year it actually meets the updated requirements which translate to 65lbs. You should ideally search through old posts here both in the Canadian and US forums to find some old posts on this issue, though. If you get a good install with the seatbelt, we're really just splitting hairs here since you can use a seatbelt install after 48lbs if you're more comfortable doing so.

The "weight limits" do take into account the additional weight of the restraint itself--the numerical limits refer to the child's weight.
