Frontier... Good deal?

I found a Frontier in Pink Sky on sale at Target. It was an online return. New price is $150.

Good deal? Would you use this seat? It has it's plastic bag over it. (Although I didn't take the seat out of the box to see if it had been removed, etc.)

Can somebody remind me the ins and outs of the Frontier? The mix of new 2-week old and teething 19-month old have left me a bit tired.

If this is a seat that would be worth my money, how easy is it to find a new cover?

Well, I think its a great price for a Frontier as long as you check it over and make sure its still in new condition. However, its a forward facing only seat so you won't need for a while. It will just sit around getting closer to its expiration date until your kids get old enough to ff. So I wouldn't buy it.

I would get it. Your one year old is already 29lbs, we recommend rear facing to at least 2, preferably longer if possible. At that price, losing a year isn't bad. You could use the cover as is, or try and make a trade on here. And it has a whopping 9 year life span.

Oh wow! 9 years... He's in a Radian XTSL, so he has another 15lbs (and however many inches. LOL)
Now I'm super tempted... I could always resell it if we ended up not using it, right? *biting nails*

OK, very weird- the other day (Thursday, specifically), I was going to Target with DD1, and had this thought that there was going to be a Pink Frontier there, and it was going to be $150, and that I'd totally buy it. I've never seen a returned Frontier at our Target (hardly see returned-and-clearanced seats at all), so I have no idea why I thought that. Got to Target, went to the baby section, and, whoa, there was the Frontier! But, no, imperfect psychicness- it was black and gray, and marked at $195. It's kind of tripping me out that there IS a $150 pink Frontier at a Target somewhere this week.

I forgot about the Frontier having 9 years. Hmmmm. I guess it makes it worth considering. I probably wouldn't get it but I understand how it could be worth it for some people.
