Hubby just recently bought a '97 extended cab S10. Truck is a fixer-upper and will likely be a show truck when finished, but we want to be able to put carseats in it if possible so we don't have to take 2 vehicles to carshows, plus this will be a spare vehicle for me in emergencies. The back area of the truck currently has no seats at all, nor seatbelts. The original owner started tear-down and removed everything to put in a stereo system, then traded the truck to the guy hubby is buying from. Hubby believes it originally came with the flip down jump seats on the sides and I know you definitely cannot use those under any circumstances. Hubby runs an auto body shop and knows how to modify pretty much anything 
Can a bench seat be added and there still be room for carseats? (or perhaps hubby is wrong and these came with bench seats in the rear? *wishful thinking here*) If so, what kind of seats would we likely need to use? We have a 40 lb 4yo and a 27 lb 2yo. We cannot ERF due to extreme extreme motion sickness in both kiddos (and believe me, that kills me, but its not safe to have them gagging on vomit constantly either). 4yo technically could be in a booster if we had to do it to fit and he does sit well in one, but I would really really prefer to have them both harnessed. Any suggestions or links to someplace that could help me out here??
