I had a friend mention that her dd outgrew her safeseat. She is 20 months but a peanut. Only 17 lbs and 30 inches. I knew there was no way she was outgrowing it. As my big boy fitr in his till he was 18 months. So i asked for pics. Heres one of the pics. There is plenty of room but roughly how much longer do you think she has.

well, the space remaining is pretty clear with the ruler there. ;) I'd say at least 2.5 inches of torso growth, which could be 6+ months if she's already 20 months and still that small.

Did she mean outgrown in that the straps are too short? There are two sets of loops at each end of the SS1 harness. You can adjust the length on both the shoulder and the hip portions.

when she said that she was outgrowing she was going with the 30 inches that the manufacturer says. I informed her of the 1 inch rule.

I wouldn't use that picture. I think he does have room left, but the ruler is misleading. something flat should be placed on the very top of his head, exactly perpendicular to the shell of the seat, and any measuring done from that. Another rule, or even a piece of paper, work fine.

she has other pics that i didn't include since it showed the babys face and without her permission yet i didn't want to include it. She definately has a ton of room from some of the other pics. But i just wanted to guesstimate the time left.
