2008 NHTSA compliance testing?

Okay, so maybe this was discused and I just missed it entirely, but when the new compliance testing came out, the 2009 data was there, but the 2008 wasn't....it was some sort of corrupted garbage. Well, I was just poking around, and now there IS valid data in the 2008 section. Nothing earthshattering, but more data on lots of seats...
There was one fail in a dorel seat, but it was explained in the report as being invalid due to testing anomolies, and the seat was considered to have passed.
Anyway, I thought it was interesting, and I think it's nice to have as much info as possible to help make decisions.

I can't view that at the moment, but there have been a few instances of seats failing--yet passing--due to testing anomalies. In those cases, do they redo the test or just figure it's probably fine?

Based on what they release, they generally chalk failures up to an anomaly or problem with the test bench without retesting.

I've also noticed that there are many, many, many seats which fail due to stickers/labeling/manual info yet they are given a "Pass." The law doesn't say that they need to have 9 out of 10, it says they have to have it, they have to have it. WHY they are given a pass on this stuff, I don't know. :soapbox:

Yes, sadly, it usually takes them a year or so to get updated info.....the seat has to hit the market, and then the testing is only done like once per year, and then the results released like a year after that, lol....so sometimes it takes a while to get the results......the frontier has not yet been tested, or at least, the testing for the frontier, if there has been any, has not yet been released.
