Well, look at that! My captain's chairs do recline! That's embarrassing that I didn't realize that...

But, I'm not sure how that would help with installing the radian. I guess I could go out and try different recline positions and see if any works better.

Ok so now that you've figured that out, put the chair completely upright and try some of the things posted in this thread. Unless it already was, upon which, Im out of ideas without being able to physically touch the seat haha

Well, I tried it all again: vehicle seat fully upright, putting all my weight at the very front edge of the radian seat, and I'm feeling pretty discouraged.

It's installed right now (can't take pictures tonight because I"m alone with all the kids), but it sort of seems that what is making it seem tight is that the latchplate is pressed up against the edge of the beltpath (sort of slanting in towards the beltpath).

Maybe I just need to find away to have a carseat tech see it in person. I'd like to find a way to not switch my kid ff yet...

Thanks to everyone for your help and advice!

You're in my neck of the woods yeah? PM me if you are. We'll take turns holding the babies and have a Radian party. LOL

If the seat is more upright it will push the edge of the seat near the adjuster strap and help maintain the spacing.
