I was just looking at SC's child passenger restraint law(the things I do for fun! ) Section 56-5-6430 states:
Do you think that really means (like the woman in Ohio, I think it was) that some people can use this law to justify feeding their child while in the car(either bottle or breast)? I was shocked when I saw this section of the law, as well as being shocked about a few other things in there.

Use of restraint device not required under certain circumstances. The provisions of this article do not apply if a child being transported is being fed, has a physical impairment, or a medical problem or any distress which makes it impractical to use a child restraint system. Alternate restraint protection, such as safety belts, must be utilized if possible.
