Help choosing a seat...please.

DH has had the Nautilus in his car for DS (6) but HATES it because it's a BIG seat and after looking last night, I noticed there is a small amount of overhang. We need a different seat for DS.

Here's the stats:
6 years old
42 pounds
48 inches (LONG and skinny, but mostly all legs)

Subaru WRX wagon
cloth seats

For the weekends when DH takes DS skiing. He ALWAYS falls asleep on the way back.

DS rides in a RNXT in my car. He has a few inches (5) left to grow before it's totally outgrown. DH took it yesterday and was SO much happier with how it fit in his car.
I'm tempted to get a RN 65. It can be passed down to DD when DS officially outgrows it but I don't know if it's worth it for a "back up" seat.

Any opinions? It needs to be a seat that's smaller than the nauti.

The Evenflo Maestro, which harnesses to 50 pounds, with top slots a tad shorter than the Nautilus. The Evenflo Generations 65 has shorter top slots (16 inches I think? As compared to 18 on Maestro and 18.5 on the Nautilus), but harnesses up to 65 pounds.

Or, the Radian ;) You could probably find a good deal on the nonSL seats now. I think there's even a Radian in swap.
