parkway sg question

Can you use the parkway sg without the antisubmarining clip when a kid gets old enough to not worrying about submarining. Looking into boosters for dd who is almost 6 and close to 50 lbs. Not for full time usage, but if she ever goes to a friends house. I also want this to last until she is done with boosters. Or at least until ds is ready for them and she can use a lowback. Don't worry won't be for years. I'm afraid eventually the clip will be uncomfortable for her.

Britax currently requires the use of the SG clip regardless of the child's age or weight.

I'm actually hopeful that's something they might review and compromise on at a later date. :twocents:

That's the number 1 reason I didn't want the Parkway SG. I can't imagine having my dd, who is 9, 70 pounds and tall, use the SG clip.

I like the idea of the SG clip for lighter booster riders, but once they reach about 50 pounds I don't *personally* feel it's necessary, unless the parents over recline the booster for sleeping or something, but even then the whole crash force would be in the kids' crotch, not spread evenly among strong bony areas.

The SG clip for the Frontier is *perfect* though, I'm glad they are available now, as soon as we get one I'll start using it for ds who has shown great maturity in booster training, and then, when he's big enough, I can take it out and he can just use the FN without it.

I agree. My ds will begin booster training sometime in the next 12 mos. I would love a new PWSG b/c he is on the small side. It would be great to have when he is 5 and 40 lbs, but I don't want a seat that would require the SG clip when he is 9 years old.
