Question Onyx or CowMoo MA cover?

I am looking to purchase a MA that is about the expire from a friend... she is a grandma and the seats are barely used. I just need the seat for a plane ride we have coming up in Feb... question is that she is asking $50 for the cowmoo and $30 for the onyx... I will probably just sell the cover after the trip since we have blvds in our cars and won't be needing the covers... is it worth paying the $20 more for the cowmoo? :)

I think you can make more off the cow than the Onyx depending on condition. In my experience the onyx fabric is stronger than the softer fabrics Britax uses. But there are a lot of people that love the cow fabric, so it will probably sell faster. Do they both have the belly pads?

Thanks! Yes, they both have belly pads and are in like-new condition... they haven't been used much since they have just been used when her grandkids come visit... I think the cowmooflage is so cute too! Too bad we can't use the covers...

I didn't want to spend a lot extra on top of the plane tickets... but think it would be much more comfortable for our daughter for the longer ride..

You can probably resell the cow cover for what you paid for it. I'm pretty sure I've seen the Marathon covers listed for around $50 on my local Craigslist. And if you think she'll be more comfortable that's another plus.
Where are you going on vaca? I think the softer covers hold in the heat more.

Just talked her into selling me the cowmoo for $40.. so I think that is the one I am getting... :p

We are heading from VA to Cali and then to Japan... 6 hour flight and then a 10 hour flight with a 10 month old is going to be interesting... this is the first time we are flying with a child... really not looking forward to it..
