I've actually found that shipping USPS is the cheapest route. I shipped a REGENT a couple weeks ago for around $30, so I'd be suprised if you couldn't get that TF shipped for less. Measure the box and add the dimensions - if it's under 108" (I think that's the number) it's regular rates, over that and the rates jump. I measured mine and it was 1" over - raised the cost $60+. Had a great postal worker who remeasured at the counter and it was "under".

I always check quotes on USPS, UPS and FedEx. USPS has beat the rates everytime and I have accounts with both UPS and FedEx.

There are surcharges for irregularly shaped boxes shipped USPS. If their rates are ridiculous, try Greyhound. I've found them to be about half the cost.

Your shipping a truefit?

Oh, hon, that thing (and the radian) are the cheapest to ship.

Have the original box? No. Still no problem because the headrest comes off and I was able to find a box at my local walmart that it fit into perfectly.

I shipped it from GA to TX for $19.xx via USPS.

Shipped my friends TrueFit for her from Indiana to Alaska for $24. No clue why, but it was cheaper to leave from Indiana than Michigan or Ohio so I just waited till I was going to the outlet mall there. :shrug-shoulders:

ok,so, did you guys just go to the PO and have them weigh and measure it and give yiou a quote??? Because I'm wondering if the onlkine calculator is just WAY off or something? Or did the online calculator give you an accurate quote? Because I'm trying to sell my frontier, but whe i try the online calculators and input the weight and dimensions, the quotes i get are INSANE..a nywhere from $50-80+., and some of those are for not even that far away, maybe a state or 2.
Is there a chsnce I'll get a much lower quote if I actually take the frontier down to the PO and get a quote there??? I really want this thing gone, lol.

Are you shipping in the Frontier box?

It adds up to (height plus girth) to 108 ins which means it goes as a large package through USPS.

I sent one from GA to California (to Calideedle) by Parcel Post for $22

You have to get the box as small as you can. In my experience usually USPS is the cheapest. The True Fit across the country was $19, Radian $20, etc.

I just shipped a seat that I did not have a box for- I went to UHaul and bought two boxes and put one upside down on the other and taped it up and off it went. It should arrive in Ga tomorrow:whistle:

Well, yes, i was using the original box, but I got spo frustrated with the insane quotes, I finally threw it away, saying I was just never going to sell it, because I didn't want to eat $80 on a brand new seat because of shipping costs. So now i will have to procure a box.

I just had a TF shipped to me that I bought on swap it came from I believe Arkansas to Indiana via USPS and it was a little under $40.00. I have shipped 3 RA's so far and I have never paid more than $30. I just print my labels out at home and just mess with the dimensions to make it a little cheaper

Arly, what's your secret? I know at least not to pay counter prices at the UPS/Fedex store, but after that, every carseat I ship is like bobandjess, quoted in the 40$'s or more, maybe I can get it down to $30, but even I got a quote on a Parkway that was in the $50s' once (though I shipped it to a closer state USPS for $20 ) (and OT, this is why my garage is full of strollers, none of them are worth the amount anyone would have to pay in shipping, sigh).
