tether anchor part #s...and more...

I have a '97 Montero Sport. I was wondering if anyone knows the tether anchor part #'s I might need, or if anyone has done this.

I also have a question....for a top tether...can those be installed? (it will have to be me installing them, the dealership does not do it here).:(

3 8mm weld nuts (screw holes) in the ceiling, Not mentioned in owner's manual.
Part number for all three is MB597261
Part should be FREE, it's called "Fitting-- Child Restraint"
No upper weight limit is given, only 'anchors designed to withstand only those loads from correctly fitted child restraint systems'
Mitsubishi Corporate number to call just in case and to verify it should be free is 1-800-222-0037

Hope that helps, I hope they can at least find you printed installation instructions with the part number, but it should be easy-ish to do.

oh my goodness, you are amazing!!! thank you! (how did you know all that by the way?) ok, i will call mitsubishi...and order the parts...as well as ask for at least a copy of the pages for installation. once it is all in...i will post! (it won't be until late march) again..THANKS! :)

I have a direct input into my brain from the car people..it was a painless operation involving a small microchip... (just kidding, lol, I have the official tech LATCH/Tether manual that they put ALL the car info in :)).

I'm guessing the kit will include everything you need...just a teeny little bag with a bolt and washer and bracket that is the tether anchor...you just have to find the weld nut so you can screw it in place and voila, done.
