What seat to use?

We are going on a small road trip tomorrow...it's about 3hrs each way. The baby is currently in a Companion and does fine. But I've had the itch to try her in the DC. Would you switch it out for the trip? Or just leave things as they are? She's 5mo and 13 1/2 pounds.

Are you going anywhere today, that you could test drive it?

I don't see a problem with using the other seat, unless she doesn't fit.

I think she'll fit. She fits in the MA that's sitting in the house. Haven't tried her in the car yet. I can probably find somewhere to go tonight...though it would be a short drive, maybe 20min at most.

Really, at that age, she will probably be very happy. If not, pull over and change the angle.

I'd put her in the Decathalon, but that's because I think all that extra padding would make baby even more comfy than most infant seats.

I'd think an infant seat would be easier for if she is asleep when you need to stop or whatever. Not one who follows my own logic though, I moved DD2 from her SS1 to DC when she was 6 almost 7 mo just before a long trip (8 hours each way and 10 days spent there.)
