He's RF again...

So DS2 screamed from 17 months to 19 months in the van and drove me crazy. We finally decided it was safer to have him ff and not screaming than rf, screaming and distracting me from driving. So he went FF at 19 months.

Then I'm reading all this info on rf and feeling guilty and nervous because I know he should really be rf and not ff. He is only 25lbs and 22 months tomorrow. So I turned him back around tonight and we went for a little test drive. No screaming at all. I put his seat in at a more upright angle and have banned the DVD player from being used for the next couple weeks to see if maybe that was the problem with the RF before.

DS1 is not too happy about losing his movies, but truthfully we have limited the use of them over the past month. You do not need to watch TV for a five minute trip to pre-school!

Anyway, long story short, DS2 is back RF at 22 months and I feel much safer wth him that way. Yay!

Yay! Good for you and Mikkel... ;) Like you, I turned my son around early - either as soon as or right before his first birthday :( After reading these threads, I wished I had kept him RF much longer. He's now bordering on 35lbs or I would turn him back around right away. Good job - !

Good for you, Jen! :D

I recently convinced a good friend to turn her then-22mo/26# ds rear-facing again. She was afraid he'd hate it, but we installed his Touriva very upright and he loves it! He'll be 2 in a couple weeks and is now almost 28 pounds.
