My 3 yo asked to be rf like the baby. He read on the MR at Target today, "It says big boys who fit in this seat can ride backwards like babies. I fit, so I can ride backwards too!"
He just got weighed yesterday at 35 lbs without shoes. In the MR he was at the second to top slot (4th?) with about 3 inches of shell above his head.
I'd have to sell one or more seats I have to fund the MR purchase. I currently have two 33 lb MAs, a TF, a FN and a GN. I think the obvious choice would be to sell the pair of MAs. But then I'll have two convertibles and two combination seats for two kids who I'd like to keep both rf. But if I sell either ff seat, I'll just have to buy it again, which seems silly. Of them, I think I'd rather sell the FN since the GN installs easier....but ODS is 80-90th percentile for size, so I might need the extra weight and height limits on the FN...
The primary vehicle will be a 1996 Altima w/o side airbags and a carseat unfriendly center belt, so I'd really like to have him rf outboard. The other car is 2007 Sentra w/ side airbags and I can install him in the center (though I might not be able to with anything wider than the MA outboard).
Why does this have to be so hard?! Why can't I just be happy with what I have?
