Okay, I'm posting these in a new thread because I've had them posted in my original thread for several hours with no comments :( Can people not see the pics? click on the thumbnail for a bigger picture and commentary:

A few things to add:

-The seat bottom cushion can be used until the child no longer fits well into the harness.

-The handle must be in the "up" position in the car.

-We all know the harness straps must be at/below the child's shoulders, but for this seat, the harness straps cannot be more than 1" below the child's shoulders.

-The base must be used for children over 22lbs.

-Discontinue use 7 years after date of manufacture

Well, when you just add pics, it doesn't bump up the thread. So we didn't know!

Children must be "33lbs or less" and "33" or less" PLUS the harness slots must be "at or just below" top of shoulders...which prevents you from putting a 2lb, 12" long baby in it I suppose

The entire headrest area and down to right below the bottom set of harness slots is hard plastic and EPS foam. This is the only place with EPS foam that I can see.

So, if the kiddo is under 33 lbs, as long as they are 1" under that movable headrest, all is good?

Yes BUT, the harness straps must not be more than 1" below the child's shoulders. So if you have a kiddo with a long head and neck, this could be a problem.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this has one of the tallest shells of any infant carrier out there...well except for the Britax Chaperone which is like 24+" tall!

While Combi recommends the handle be up, in one of the other manuals they allowed it in any locked position if it did not fit well with the handle up. Is that still an option?

Can you post pics of your precious little one in it?

If I had a little one, I would! :(

I got this seat to inspect it to determine if it would be appropriate for the preemies at our hospital...but it's not...so in a couple of days I will be returning it, I think. :( I'll see if I can find a doll around here....

Well, some preemies yes...
but the preemies we usually lend seats to are under 5lbs and I've NEVER, EVER had a 4lb baby reach harness slots at 7"

I see, sorry I didn't catch the 7" bottom slots. Aren't even the Coccoro slots lower than that?

So on the Shuttle the bottom slots measure 7.25" and on the Centre/Centre DX's the bottom slots were 6". So the seat that was rated from 5lbs and up probably worked better for smaller babies than the Shuttle that is rated from birth.
