EFTA question

I am not able to find my manual and my spare is in the car installed.

Can the EFTA touch the seat back in front of it? The car seat is independently tight, but just rests on the seat in front.

I don't have an answer, but you can download the manual at evenflo.com with the seriel #. I had lost my manual from my old style Triumph and was able to get it as a pdf on the Web site. Can't remember what all I had to enter. I think model #, serial #, and DOM. HTH

You also need to verify that the owner's manual for the car doesn't warn against touching the front seatbacks. Some cars with advanced frontal airbags don't allow touching due to potentially interfering with the advanced airbag sensors. Both the vehicle manufacturer and the carseat manufacturer have to allow touching for it to be acceptable.

I'm pretty sure that it can touch the seat in front. I can't tell you where to get the info, but I had the same question a few years ago and got the info. my EFTA touches the front seat sometimes.

I posted the same time as the pp. I do remember that my car does not say anything against the car seat touching the front seat. I do have seat sensored air bags. But you do need to check with your manual.

I have it in the 3rd row of my Mazda CX-9 and it touches the 2nd row seat. I don't think the car manual says anything about it.
I tried to download the manual but I can't get my model # because the seat is installed in the car. I have an SS1 installed in the 2nd row in front of it so I can't really get to it unless I start uninstalling seats.

Yeah, it's okay if the vehicle allows it. IIRC, only the Evenflo infant seats prohibit touching the seatback (out of the current models, at least).
