At least you don't know Abby......

I had a little girl (14 months) at my daycare show up two weeks ago straped into her brother's booster seat because her dad left hers in the garage and the cats got on and now it had to be cleaned. Now she is still in the same seat and nope, they are not going to buy another one because she is there last. I think I bite my tongue off in an attempt not to say anything. Please go to Walmart and buy $40 seat !?!?!?!?! These people are WELL OFF. I just can't figure it out. By the way, brother, who is 4, is now in a regualr seatbelt because she is in his booster!

Apparently Abby rode in a 5-point seat that only had 4-points working :)confused: ). Then her dad disassembled the harness to try to fix it. YIKES!

Thankfully they got a new seat...

No, I don't know Abby. I just happened to find this "pordcast."

hey, in his defense, if i noticed my carseat harness was only working on 4 points i'd be disassembling it before i got on the phone with the company. it could be the strap anchor had just slipped out of its socket... he did say he couldn't fix it so they bought a new one. i dunno. as a guy, it just sounded to me like he was being chided for trying to figure out what was wrong with it...

I probably would have done the same thing myself. My baby just wouldn't have went anywhere untill I had it figured out. As to my post above, can't blame dad for leaving the seat in the garage. Just can't believe neither one of them is going to get another carseat because "it just isn't sanitary anymore. She could get ringworms."

Maybe I am reading too much into it. I was thinking he took apart the buckle, which wouldn't have been good. But I just went back and re-read the post and realized that wasn't what he said. That is what I thought was bad... taking apart the buckle.
Now that I just reread the post, I am embarrassed that I jumped to that conclusion. Sorry!
