SS1 sticking in base.

I was wondering what to do with a SS1 that is not easily removable from the base. The red lift bar seems not to pull up as far as it should thus the red clip that locks to the base does not get pushed far enough to release the seat from the base. The seat always locks into place fine, but you have to manually push the red clip to get it out.

Will graco fix it, replace it or do nothing? The seat is a 07 or 08, (can't remember off the top of my head) Is it even safe to use again? It is a accident free seat.
