I never thought I'd be in the position to have to think about 'after the convertible' since we are foster parents to infants/toddlers. However, we've been approached about adopting our twins. 
I do not know if we will yet, haven't talked to dh about it...and he's always said NO. But as I was driving home from work and daydreaming about adopting them...it dawned on...OH CRAP...CAR SEATS!!!!!!!!!!!!! What on earth would I get next?! We have a SLEW of Britax convertibles that I love...but Mr. P is on the top slots of his DC at 2yrs8mo. He's got tons of room still, so I know we'd make it to 4 or beyond. We also have a Radian XT...however, we have head slump issues in it and it suprisingly does NOT give us more torso room then the DC. If it does, it's minimal. So...what would you get for a long torso'd, young...average weight kiddo? Or will the head slump issues go away as he gets older?? His sister, uses the XT when she visits and she has no head slump issues...but she's almost 8.
