SKJP says that you can use LATCH up to 80 lbs as long as the vehicle was manufactured after Sept 1, 2005. That means somewhere in the 2006 model year for most vehicles. You can see the vehicle DOM on a sticker inside the driver's side door frame.

Make sure they're Radian SLs, and if you want 80 pounds then you need the 80SL or XTSL.

This.

Be sure that your checking your cars manufacture date, not the model year. It needs to be after Sept 1, 2005. To check your manufacture date, open your driver side door and there should be a sticker, like crunchierthanthou has mentioned. It should be right along with the PSI for your tires & such. :)

I have a 2008 so I'm sure the date of manufacture is after 2005. I want to get the most bang for my buck so these two seats would be for my 6 yr old dd who is 46 lbs. and 50 inches tall, I think. The other one would be for my ds who is 4 yrs old, 34 lbs. not sure on height. They will be used on the outside of the rows with the LATCH so the seat belts won't block the isle. My van is a 15 passenger so the outside seat is also the isle seat. Any tips would be great. Thanks for the clarifications. There was no limit given in my owners manual for my van so I wanted to make sure I had my info right.

Yes, you are correct, but honestly, you don't need an 80. Your 6 year old will likely be out of the radian by height in 1-2 years, and won't be above 65 pounds by then, so really, a radian 65 will be sufficient for your needs. OF course, if you have the money to spend, there's nothing wrong with an 80, you get an extra 5 rearfacing pounds (45 on the radian 80 versus only 40 on the radian 65) and the 80 comes in some pretty patterns. But if money is an issue, a 65 is more than sufficient to get your kids to booster age.

What seat is your 6 yo in now and where are her shoulders in relation to the top slot? She may have outgrown the Radian by torso height, or will soon.

I would like my oldest 2 (9&7) to stay in a high back booster as long as possible because we don't have headrests in our van. The 6 almost 7 yr old is average height and she is not long in the torso. She is stick thin and think she would benefit from the harness. When she outgrows the radian I will get her a high back booster seat. My oldest I am ok with just being in a booster seat. Because I do daycare I am sure these seats will get used even if my kids grow out of them.
Can I just say you are all awesome. I really appreciate all the advice and info.

I forgot to tell you what they are in right now. Right now my 6 yr. old is in an evenflo HHB. Not sure of the type. It is at least 4 yrs old. I have the head rest up one notch from the bottom right now. It fits her fine I would just like to see more head support and possible harness for her since she is so tiny.
