Tell me about the protek booster

I have a friend looking at boosters for her 6 year old son. 58 lbs and just outgrowing the GN.

He wants a Blue seat. His first choice is the Monarch and I can't find one at all. I know they are discontinued.

They don't like the Nautilus as a booster?

The Protek requires support to the level of the child's ears behind it, it cannot be used with a low seatback. It's got open guides, though I don't know how tall it goes.

I think it goes pretty high (although I may have it confused with the Pronto), but its height may be compromised if the vehicle doesn't have high headrests.

It is for a Town and Country in teh captains chairs so head support is not an issue. it could also be used in a Toyota camery, some other sedan that I can't remember and a Nissian Frontier truck, front seat.

She just needs a blue booster. Does anyone know of any that are easy to get hands on and until 130?

Her son is sold on the Monarch in Blue, but of course can't find those.

I don't know any booster that goes to 130 #. Is that really going to be necessary? If he's 58# at 6, he should be okay with a 100# HBB.

I guess I should proof read my stuff I meant under $130. LOL. Sorry about that. I am laughing at myself.

I know Walmart here in Canada carries a blue Turbo called Rapids or something like that.

ETA- I just checked Graco's site...guess Rapids is a backless only.
