What is included in weight? I know its the weight of the child fully dressed with a full belly, wet diaper (if applicable), shoes and a lightweight jacket (if that's what they typically wear in their car seat), but, what about extra things the child might be holding? DD#2 has sensory processing disorder and longer car rides can be hard on her. She has a weighted blanket (weighs 7 lbs) that we let her take on longer trips (so basically every 2-3 months when we go visit my family...4.5 hour trip each way) and I never thought about the safety of it until today. How dangerous is it? Should I not let her use it (which might lead to a tantrum or meltdown or even her getting car sick)? But then I got to thinking, what if she was, say, 60 lbs in a nautilus and the blanket would put her over the 65 lb mark...would the blanket need to be counted in her weight? My first thought was no because its over the harness so the harness would not need to support the extra 7 lbs, but I honestly have no idea if that's actually the case.
