Ok Ive got several questions...where should I go?

I have a Britax Marathon RFing in a 2007 Chrysler Town and Country with captains chairs in the middle. She is behind the drivers side. Where do I tether the top strap? Why is tethering important?

What is a good rule of thumb for which slot to put her shoulder/neck straps in?

DH has a Ford F150 (single cab, automatic) and we need a good seat that will RF in that. Problem is that she will be in the middle so it should probably be a smaller seat. Any suggestions? Possibly another MA?

Thanks so much!
Edited to add~ I have a 67 lb. 48" 5 year old in a belt positioning high back booster. (Evenflo Big Kid Booster I think, the ones with the lights on it)
Any suggestion? Should I keep him belt positioned? If so any suggestions on seats? How does this one rate in your books? I like the Oobr but cant afford that :(

No problem! Its the same rule for every seat so that's the easy part. Hopefully people with more experience with your specific cars and seat can help with the rest of your questions.

For you tether question. You tether to where the front vehicle seat bolts to the floor. Like this:

For the F150, have you tried the Marathon you already own, to see if it will fit? It should, but will be crowded. I did it in my Dodge Ram.
