Help me choose a seat that will FIT!! (last time for awhile, I promise!)

Ok I have an 08 Tribeca w/ advanced airbags. SO, no touching the seat in front of the carseat. (passenger or drivers seat) Baby will be about 4-6 months. I make tiny kids.

here's what I KNOW will work:
Scenera
Roundabout (we had one in our smaller car and it worked fine)

Here's what I THINK will work:
Coccoro
POSSIBLY a true fit w/ no headrest

And what I know DOES NOT work:
Radian
Marathon

SO...is there anything else out there that I'm overlooking?

If the Scenera will work, the Avenue will work. They take up the same space but the Avenue has a taller shell (just a lower profile.)

At 4-6 months though the seat should be able to be more upright-- not maybe the full 30 degrees, but 35-40. So I bet you could get at least a few of the larger seats in there too-- especially lower-profile ones. For instance, Marathon, Complete Air, TF with headrest, MyRide...

If Roundabout will work, the Diplomat will probably work too - if you want the headwings.

Is it shorter than the marathon then? This would be a JUST RFing seat...something to get us by until FF in a Radian so the longer it lasts the better. DD is almost 4 and 37 inches and about 32 pounds so I expect the newbie to be about the same.

I would never buy a Roundabout or a Diplomat, personally. I just feel that the money/use ratio is WAY too high. There are other seats with the same or taller shells for much less money. :twocents:

If I had unlimited money for "playing" with I suppose I might buy a Roundabout to use because it is SUCH a smooth adjuster and easy install, planning to replace with another rear-facing seat after it. But since my kids run to tall torsos, it just doesn't make sense for me (my 1 year old has about outgrown the RA FORWARD facing. She wouldn't have lasted a year rear-facing in it.)

I just looked at the prices and yeah, I have to agree, it's probably not our best choice. I'll probably check out the Avenue since I know the scenera works. And try a coccoro, although I'm not optimistic that it's going to be an easy install w/ my leather seats after reading some of the reviews.
