Lowest slot height on Radian?

Remember, though, that SK claims 18" for the top slot and most of us measure it at 17"-17.5". Using that math (and my own personal observation, which should not be weighted heavily because I'm not good at guesstimating), I'd say it's closer to 7.5" -- close to the Snugride.

Great, thanks!

So I'm realizing that the coccoro is the only convertible with slots lower than the snugride22, is that correct? My last baby (36w0d, 7lb, 19") was below the lower slots on the Snugride, but I was wanting to use just a convertible for this next baby. I'm not a fan of the open belt path on the CCO though, and I don't have LATCH. Hmm.

The MyRide is pretty low, and the Evenflo Titan is too. I don't know exactly how they compare to the Snugride, but I think they'd be worth considering. (The Titan won't get kids to booster age/size, but neither will the Coccoro, so it seems you're okay with that possibility?).

Yup, I'm fine with that possibility.

I checked posts in carseat reviews last night and the MR and TF were both 7.5" or higher, I can't remember now exactly which was which. I do have a MR, SR, and RN currently, and I'll do a comparison myself but it doesn't sound hopeful after seeing those measurements. I'll check out the Titan, I did see that on the list last night but now I don't remember the specs.

For the MyRide & Radian XT bottom slots I get about 8.5" But of course with the infant padding it will raise the infant up.

Our SafeKids gives Titans to newbies, and the institutional seats don't have the infant insert, and the babies fit. I reiterate that I am horrible at guessing (I can eyeball and say "it'll fit" or "it won't fit", but am not good at assigning numbers) but I'd say it's 7" or even under.

Thanks. I'll get a definite measurement on that Titan, but if it's about 7" I may just opt to get an infant bucket with lower slots and use that if necessary. We'll also have foster babies at some point, so it won't hurt to have extra low slots and lower weight limit for those LOs just in case.

Thanks for the measurements on the XT and MR. Even with the padding though they won't be less than 7.5". But hey, at least they're AS low as the snugride! And maybe by some miracle I'll actually make it to 39 weeks and have a tall enough baby--my guys sure sprouted torsos later on, maybe this one will start early.
