My friend has a 2000 Durango without top tether anchors. Does anyone know if they can be put in?

On the 2000 Dodge Durango with the 60/40 split seats in the second row, a tether anchor can be installed on the outboard seat. The part number is 05012007AB or 0501540AA. If your 2000 Dodge Durango falls within the date range June 1999-October 2000, it may be subject to a recall for failure to place tether anchor usage information in the owner's manual. For more information on the recall you can contact Daimler Chrysler directly at www.diamlerchrysler.ca or 800-992-1997.
For installation of the tether anchor, please have your dealer refer to Technical Service Bulletin 23-08-00 Rev. A. They should install it for free. Good luck.
