Hi,
CARES is now available in Canada and Quebec at {link removed} This is a great item for travelling with small children. I intend on using using a belt this month when we fly to Florida. I don`t feel that a regular airplane seat belt is the proper fit for a child. Does anyone have any tips for use or any stories about their experiences with CARESÉ

Thanks

If you are going to use this you must have purchased a seat for your child/children....have you considered just putting him/her in their car seat on the plane? That is what I did. I found it was comforting to my son to have his own seat, also you don't have to check your car seat and worry about it getting lost/damaged. If you do decide to use the cares let me know what you think of it.

There are lots of threads here reviewing CARES and giving tips. It's a nice option for those who either have a carseat at their destination or who will only be travelling by public transit at destination. There are lower and upper weight and height limits on the CARES, so it is not a one-size-fits-all-kids product. While it isn't really that difficult to use, I would suggest reading the instruction sheet and practicing "installing" it (on a small arm chair or the passenger seat of a car *while parked in the driveway*) before going on your trip. From past reviews, including my own brief experience (I brought my own seats but tried it out for a few minutes on a half-empty flight), it seems to be better for slightly older kids since the very wiggly 2yos tend to not listen when you tell them they need to stay put and not wiggle out the bottom of the harness/lapbelt. My take on it was towards the end of the first post giving a rundown of our International trip, here.
