Getting the canopy off?

Is there a trick to getting the canopy off of the SS1? I've gotten it off once before and I vowed to never do it again. Yet, here I am, trying to get it off.

I can't get the plastic pieces apart. I know how to do it, I just can NOT get it. I just shattered two nails trying to get it off.

So for all you mamas who swap out covers all the time, HOW DO YOU DO IT?!

It's kinda tricky, you have to take the canopy and bend it a little till the pieces start to pull apart. You have to be rough with it and eventually it will snap open. After that you just put it back together and it will snap into place. Hope this helps. :)

OMGosh! You're a lifesaver!!! I was reading that you have to push in the two tabs at the same time that you're pulling them apart in the opposite direction!

Thank you so much!!

Thank you!!! I couldn't figure it out last week, so I washed it with the plastic still in there on super delicate/no spin .

That's what I was actually about to do. In my original post, I said something along the lines of "it won't hurt to put the plastic in the washer, will it?" but then I edited it out, lol. :p

Your welcome.. The first time I tried to take it off I worked at it for hours. Now that I have the hang of it the two pieces pop right open when you barely bend it.
