Vent Ugg! Walmart hosed me $7 on the Scenera!

So I picked up a Scenera as a backup since selling my old MA. There were 2 covers at my Walmart - the black plaid and the pink daisy. The price for the black plaid was $52.50. The sticker below the pink daisy read $45.00 - daisy. It actually indicated the cover for the price. Get to checkout and it rings up $52.50. I told the clerk what the sticker said and was basically told "oh well." I told him it was false advertising - he still didn't care. If it wasn't snowing and getting really, really nasty out (dh waiting in car), I'd have walked off without it and got the one at Target that I know was $45.09. I have been reminded why I really dislike Walmart and have been shopping Target. I just don't want to deal with the lines to return it, so I'm taking $7 up the @ss from Walmart.

I would have asked to see a manager. Last week at Walmart, they had Bendaroos (great toy BTW) under a sign for $5. I went to buy 2 for gifts. They rang up $15. I just showed him the sign and they gave them to me for $5. :D

If BRU messes up our stickers, we'll adjust the price (well, within reason, I did hear of a 350$ stroller labeled 99$ that they didn't honor ). I'm sure a manager at walmart could have worked that out for you. Bummer

I had a sticker mis-priced go through my till last night. Just a dollar difference (the sticker didn't reflect the new, higher price). The manager came over, checked the sticker, the receipt, etc and the customer got the item for free because it was under $10.00.

Now, I don't know what would have happened if the item was over $10 in value - and both the customer and I were surprised she got it for free, we both only expected her to get her dollar back.

That is why I love Target. They never have a problem honoring a mislabelled price and do so without question if it is within reason. I've never even had to ask for a manager on a price change.

Legally in a lot of states they are required to sell you and item for the price it's labeled. You should check into that.

there's an unwritten rule that if the price rings up wrong and they don't honor the sticker price, you can get the item for free if it's under a certain amount. My mom taught me this one.

I would have (and have) said I will wait while you check the price on the shelf. I can show you right where it is if that would help. Half the time the clerk doesn't even want to wait for someone to go look. But I will wait if they do want to look.

I have had way more items ring up higher than marked prices at Target than Walmart though.

Walmarts seem to do whatever they want, depending on which store you go to, things are different.

For example, about 2 years ago, I happened to be in the baby dept and I found a Scenera marked $20 on the bag it came in. No, the other ones didn't have it on there... but they told me when I went through the line that "someone's kid must have put the sticker on it" and that they wouldn't honor it.

I just said, well I don't need the seat anyways-- but I was still kinda mad they wouldn't honor it. It would have only been a $20-25 difference from the $45 sale price.
