Tonight we're going to look at christmas lights about 15-20 minutes away from my house. We always RF in my car, in a TF in the center. My back windows are all heavily tinted and I doubt that even with the windows rolled down that he'd be able to see much.. Is it crraaaazy to let my 32lb 3y/o ds FF for an hour? He'd be in his SG outboard (scares me having him OB)..

WWYD?

We are going to see Christmas lights too this week and we are going to turn little man around for that ride and when we are done I will flip him back around like a pancake :D

i turned mine FFing in the TF on wed. to see lights. I'm sure I'll get flamed being a tech but FFing my almost 3 year old and 33 lb child occasionally in a properly used seat doesn't bother me one bit

I switched my DD FF for our "Christmas lights" ride and she is two and 31 pounds.

I had the kids wear their Christmas PJ's and threw some fleece blankets in the car.

As long as the lights are lit up, he should see them just fine. Just remember to point them out as you pass them so he can see the ones you are talking about.
I don't have an issue with turning him FF for the occasional ride, but I don't know why you'd have to.

At 3 I think it's fine. If you have the space in your car to have both seats installed, I'd RF on the way, FF through the park, and then RF on the way home.

I am turning my 3yo FF to see Christmas lights. I have no problem him taking the occasional ride in a safe, correctly installed FF seat.

I haven't decided if I will turn my 2yo yet. If so, she'll ride to the area RF and then move to a FF seat for the show - we have room to install both.
