I'm trying to get the harness off my TF before UPS comes to pick it up to send it back to LC. (The CS rep said I only have to put the shell back in the box )

Does it even come off? DH and I both cant get the flipping buckle tongue off.. What gives?? TIA!

Yes, it does. I couldn't figure out how til I had to put on the new cover.
You have to put the strap slots all the way to the lowest setting to pull the seperate shoulder straps out first. If you don't they kind of get stuck in the area that allows the sliding movement. Then you just pull them out like you would a Britax seat, remove buckles one by one, and then slide past the slots in the shell for the waist straps, and there are two small L shaped slots for holding the strap under the seat by the harness adjuster.
Then, to put them in, you have to use the lowest setting again then slide back to your required slot.

Does that help?

Yep, they come out. When it comes to sliding the buckle tongues out of the triple-webbed harness part you just have to start it sideways kind of, not straight. And then PULL LIKE CRAZY. And say many horrible four letter words. And then, repeat backwards when putting it back on. Thankfully it's continuous loop, so you only have to remove half the chest clip and 1 buckle piece :)
