New carseat for brother's baby

My cute little brother is going to be a daddy. :D His GF is due in a few months...not exactly sure when. And he has been emailing me all morning about carseats. :thumbsup: He is in Afghanistan right now, and is scheduled to come back in 1-2 months. He wants to order a seat now and have it shipped to his house so it's there when he gets home. He wants to have time to play with it and learn how to use it before the baby comes. :love::love:

I had a few minutes to look through patterns online, but I know so many of you know these seats and patterns better than me. He wants an infant bucket with a higher weight rating in some combination of the following colors; tan, grey, black, blue. Any suggestions?

What's his price range like? My favorite bucket is probably the Chicco Keyfit for LATCH install, with the Snugride 35 for seatbelt install.

You can find both those seats in those exceptionally dull colors, I'm sure :p

Ha ha. Yeah. He likes both seats from looking online. He hasn't ever really had any hands on experience with seats except when he has been with us and my seats. He did like the KF when he visited this summer and he checked ours out. He didn't specify a price range, but seems to be leaning towards the KF in Atmosphere. I also emailed him stock pics of Gianni and Nolan Graco seats.

He will probably need to do both seatbelt and LATCH installs as his GFs car doesn't have LATCH, but his pickup (their main vehicle) does.
