I know we have discussed this here before several times, but it never hurts to mention it again...
Check your carseats for movement every single time you use them. We just left to go to Costco with both kiddos, and I noticed as I loaded them in to leave, that DS's Companion seemed to move a tad as I put him in the bucket (it was still attached to the base, I never take it out.) I lifted the bucket off the base and checked for movement again. It was sliding all over the place!
Somehow the seatbelt had come unbuckled! I have no idea how, perhaps I accidentally did it? It's all I can come up with since I sit on that side next to him, and DD is not allowed to play in the car. We were out kind of late last night getting that Trio King's Castle, and I know it was fine then. Perhaps when we got home and I unbuckled myself?
Anyway, super scary. I am so glad that I noticed it when I did. I will be checking their seats every trip from now on.
