My DD's first seat!

Well, the first one bought just for her. She used her brothers infant seat and then I moved her into a spare Uptown I had. I've been wanting to get her a girly seat for a while!

Here she is in her brand new Flora RN XTSL. She seems to like it, although she is complaining in this pic because we were inside. It is so soft and cushy, even my DH commented on how soft it was.

I'm using the inserts because I think she will be able to sleep better with them in. Can anyone tell me what you are suposed to do with the black grograin ribbon attached to the body suport? I threaded them through the harness slots and tied a loose knot at the back of the seat to help keep it in place. The manual doesn't say anything about it.

Here's my install in a 2001 Mercury Mountaineer. The seats are very sloped so I was able to get a pretty upright install. I wanted to add that I have tried an older radian with the wider foot and it did not fit in this position, but the narrower foot fits great in all positions in my vehicle.

Please ignore the mess...

I'm very happy with this seat, I hope I continue to enjoy it for a long time to come. I tend to have incontentment with my carseats for some reason.

I just put the ribbon throught the harness slots also.

Marcie, I really like it alot so far. She has only used it for one trip and it was short. I am curious to see how she sleeps in it. Oh, and she only weighs about 19.5 lbs. She is puny compaired to Gabriel at this age. I am still having a hard time believing that she'll be one in a month!! :crying:

Yup, ribbon through the harness slots. When you use the body support as a toddler pillow, they can go through some holes in the shell at the very top, just under the cover.

This is my FAV seat/cover right now too.

I can't justify getting one right now though because DS is only 25lbs so he has tons of time RF'ing in his TF. We just put him on Pedia Smart though as we're trying to get him to gain weight, so if I can get him to gain 5+ pounds in the next few months, then maybe I'll have an excuse. :ROTFLMAO:

Thanks guys! I think she is adorable too! I am so in love with this seat allready. Each time I take her out or put her in it I get all giddy! <3 It's just so purdy!

I am allready dreaming of when #3 comes along(far in the future) and I can get a coccoro in Lime and some booster to compliment the Flora... maybe that cool Brown Oili (is that it?) Good reason to wish for another baby, huh? lol

LOL, I know, I can't wait to have another so then I could pass the TF down and get the Radian for Bram. I do want another anywhere though. We have the Cranberry TF too, so they both have browns in them.

Pssssh, who cares, he won't complain unless someone tells him he should. Flowers don't have X chromosomes so I don't know who decided they were only for girls! Besides, the lime green is so cool! I've been waiting for a cover with bright colors besides the MR (long skinny kids here).

How does that work as a toddler pillow? Does anyone have a pic of it in place as that? No pic or mention of it in the manual. I am a very visual person! Just move it up to their head?

I have bella's in place as body support, with no infant head support attached. Stats in siggy are accurate. Wings are in lowest setting. I believe manual says once harness is on 3rd from bottom slot, you can use wings. So wouldn't the pillow be really close to her head because of the wings?? Or is it only to be used as a pillow if wings are not being used?

Laurette, your dd is gorgeous. I love the Flora RN. I will have to try it out sometime. I think we will have to have a meet-up after the first of the year. I know what you mean about your baby turning one. Mine just did a couple weeks ago. So bittersweet. Love your dd's new seat.
