Do you think he'll make it another month or two in the SS1?

I mean he's only 7 months old.

The shell of the seat is just above the silver insert.

if im seeing correctly, it looks like theres about 2" above his head, so 1" of growing room.

im figuring he will make it to about a year and outgrow it by height

I think he'll make it a while. Probably close to a year, to 9 months at least. My ds just outgrew his ss1 by weight (he's 29lbs naked) and I'm so sad to see it go.

Yeah, I think so. Do you like that infant pad, still? I bet you'd get a more accurate measurement if you take it out.

I actually do like the infant pad still. It keeps his head nice and centered in the seat. Plus if I take it out there is no color on the seat what so ever (just black & gray).

I don't mind black and gray at all but I always like a little splash of color.

If you imagine his head without the hat and hood on, I am seeing a decent bit of room still. I bet you have a lot of time left- especially considering that torso height- not overall body length- contributes to headroom. I wouldn't rush out and buy another seat just yet.
