:D
The UPS man just dropped it off, yahoo! First impression is...I'm relieved! Its so simple, straight forward and very well made. The hardest part so far has been trying to figure out how to get the cup holder thingy on
I will post pics in a while!

Pics!
I like the rigid latch system and it was easy to install, but I noticed that when she leans forward the seat belt doesn't retract back like it does with the Parkway...so I'll have to keep my eye on that. When she's in the Oobr her feet are flat on the floor which she thought was cool.

This pic makes me nervous because it shows the "wiggle room" that she has.

what do you mean about the "wiggle room" ?(sorry, boosters are new to me as we arn't into them just yet) I'm trying to decided between these two for when my DD starts booster training in the spring. The ober is sooooo expencive though. which does she like better? and that cover is awsome, how do you think it will hold up?

Well, I really like a booster to be somewhat "tight" fitting so that my dd1 cannot wiggle around too much because it can displace the shoulder portion of the seatbelt. My fav. booster so far has been the Monterey BUT it was too wide for her and I was constantly telling her to "put her shoulder back into her booster". That is why I love the Parkway, because as you can see it places the shoulder portion of the seat belt so perfectly. I have also found that the Graco TB & Vivo is a great fit for her:

I like the Oobr but I'm not sure yet if its worth the $ and yes I think it will hold up great. I love the rigid latch which is why I got it. I'm still searching the "best" booster...

I think the 'wiggle room' looks perfectly acceptable  Even when she's all leaned over the shoulder belt is still lying where it needs to be.

I'm wondering, with the seatbelt issue, if you popped the head rest out of the vehicle seat, would the belt retract more smoothly?

Thanks Maedze :) I'm a little obsessed over this booster thing  I do have the vehicle head rest off behind the Oobr, its hard to see ;) The belt guides are just different in the Oobr vs the TB, Vivo, Parkway and the Frontier. The Oobr's belt guide has a slit in the middle but so does the Monterey & GN so...it really shouldn't matter right?

I LOVE how she is fitting in the Oobr... makes me wish I had the money to swing one for Ruthie... she's skinny, too (though not as slim as your daughter, she's close).

Ah well, I do love the Vivo and will have to let that be good enough when the time comes.

thank you for posting all these pics. Even though I'm more confused on what to get in the spring for DD LOL. Do you have pics of her in the monterey? my DD is 47lbs and 46.5" how tall is your DD?

The Op's daughter is slim shouldered so if I had to guess, the Monterey wouldn't be a great fit for her.

Bean the First is slim shouldered too, so I'm glad to see how well the Oobr fits her daughter. Puts it on the list :)

I had her the Monterey and I loved it except like Maedze said, she is slim through the shoulders so it didn't fit her well :( Here she is this past spring and she was 5.5y/o 42lbs. and about 47" tall. You can see how the Monterey is too wide in the shoulder area:

 the cover!

She fits great in it, Josef fits like that into his Monterey and we have no problems.

Now if DH would let me spend the $ I would totally get an Oobr. But he sees no reason why one child "needs" the 3 boosters he already has (only 2 vechicles here, and Josef is with me 95% of the time now). What does he know :p

LOVE it! We're getting Skurvy in Feb/Mar and I'm hoping it'll work for AJ. We have no LATCH for it though. :(

see how far to the edge of the shoulder the belt is? for the purpose of side crashes (especially ones coming from the same side as the seatbelt, that would shove her the other way, causing the belt to possibly pop off the shoulder), we like the belt to fall more directly in the center between the shoulder and neck... closer to the neck is fine, but closer to the edge of the shoulder usually causes us worry.
