private jet- will car seats install??

We are going to my grandmother's funeral next week and have been offered the use of a small jet, seats 5

i have a a rf and a ff child.

anything i need to be prepared for?

They may have shoulder belts. Otherwise, no. We've had Piper in her carseat on private crafts before.

a family member suggested i hold my 6mo on my lap instead of give her a seat (so that someone else could fly with us), but i'm not comfortable with that. am i being unreasonable?

I would not hold the baby. Use the carseat. Safety first.

Would you be comfortable with your baby on your lap in a 150 mph collision (aborted take off, runway collision)? My guess is no. You're not being unreasonable at all.

You cannot install on a rear facing seat, though you should install rear facing on a forward facing seat.
