We used the Gen 65 on our trip. We flew Southwest and had a Pontiac Vibe for the rental.
Installed on the plane, it fit well on the seat. DH rates carrying the seat through airport 7.5/10 for ease of carry (a bit awkward to carry b/c there isn't much to grab from) and installing on the plane (you had to reach inside the path to connect the seat belt).
Installed in the car:

Sleeping in the car: (This is the only part I didn't care for to much it looks uncomfortable)
The strap looks below the shoulders but she is dead even with them.
