Of vehicles that are currently on the market, both the seven and 8 passenger Odysseys have five, two in the middle and three in the back row.

The 7 passenger Sienna has four (two in the middle, one 3rd row outboard and one third row center) and the 8 passenger Sienna has five, (three in the middle, third row same set up as the 7 passenger). No Sienna has a top tether anchor third row driver's side.

Well this just makes me want a Sienna even more. I'd love to have the option of putting DD's Frontier anywhere in our van. We only have three tether spots, captains chairs and center third row. Ours is a 08 Uplander and not exactly car seat friendly.

I had an 08 Uplander as a rental van and hated it. A couldn't use a backless booster center because of no head support. She couldn use her Vivo center because the seatbelt was below the belt guide. She couldn't use the Vivo outboard because the stupid headrests pushed the seat forward. She was in a backless booster outboard with no side curtain airbags :( Baby S has her SS1 3rd row because J needed a tether for his GN. I hated that van, and so did the kids.

We all love my Sienna :)

That really doesn't sound like a huge deal. A 9 year old in a backless booster is incredibly safe, presence of airbags or not.
