Which would you be more comfortable with?

I am watching my sister for 3 days next week so my parent's can have their first real break since she was born (they are just going to be at the beach 1.5 hours away). I live just a few blocks away but Ill be going to stay at the house to take care of her and I will be taking her out and about.

My question is- Is she safer in the Roundabout rear facing or will she be equally safe in the Safeseat? We moved her out of the Safeseat around 8 months just for her comfort and put her in a Boulevard and Roundabout in my car. Usually she's not in my car much so it's not a big deal but I have a Beetle convertible and it's not easy to get her in and out of the Britax rear facing...especially given she sleeps every car ride pretty much.

I was thinking given she still fits in the Safeseat and I'll be taking her in and out a lot over 3 days that the Safeseat is so much easier as she's already buckled and I snap it in rather than climbing in to buckle her.

Are the two options equally as safe for a 23lb almost 15 month old baby? If you think she's safer in the convertible then I'll just leave it but for convenience and her comfort (not having to wake her up to go in the bank or store) I was thinking about using the Safeseat this week.

Thanks for your opinions...I know I'm crazy but it's something I've been wondering about. Does anyone have any pictures of older babies in the Safeseat/SR32? She hasn't been in it in months but I'm sure she still fits as she's nowhere near the second slots on the Britax.

As long as she fits, either is fine. The RA and SS1 really have about the same shell height so if she fits in the RA she probably fits fine in the SS1.

Here's DD in the SS1 at almost 2 years (just barely fitting):

Yup, either seat is equally safe as long as the child fits, the seat fits the vehicle, and the seat is used properly every time.
