Sorry I didn't get back with you sooner. I got an e-mail from Albee Baby for 17% off any regular priced item. It was a link you click on, not a code. I could try forwarding it to you if you pm'd me your e-mail address. I think it's only good for today.
It is just killing me that the one I want says that it's a 2009 model. I tried calling & e-mailing them but there customer service isn't the best. I got no response. Urgh. Guess I'm gonna have to pass this one up.

I just got the 2009 red/black from Albee baby and they told me it had the bigger basket before I ordered but when it came it does not. I am waiting on a return call from them to see what they will do about it.

The 2009 Minis do not have the bigger basket. The exception would be a 2009 made in November or December. They might have the newer bigger basket since that's when the 2010 models start rolling out.
If your 2009 doesn't have the new basket you can certainly purchase a newer 2010 basket from BJ when it becomes available.
The newer basket is the only change on the 2010 model Mini. The new basket isn't expensive, and will fit right on a 2009 frame.

Oh no!! I have an e-mail from them stating it will have the bigger basket. I'll be so upset if it doesn't. I know Albee Baby customer service is shaky. I've found that they seem to respond better through e-mail. I hope you get it resolved. Please keep me posted if you can!! I've spent a lot of money with them over the past few months (I've got twins so two of everything). I'd better get the bigger basket or they'd better make it right, otherwise I will start spending elsewhere.

The stroller isn't going to be useless without a bigger basket. It's going to have a basket, just not the new 2010 basket which isn't considerably larger by any means. Did you see the link I posted to the thread with pictures of the new basket? There is a reason for the stroller to be on sale. It's so they can make room for the new 2010 models. Therefore, you get a 2009 basket, on a 2009 stroller which you got on sale.

I haven't ever filled my 2008 basket. Ever. I don't see the big hype with the new zomg huge baskets. lol.
I spoke to them yesterday and first they said they would pick up the stroller but I had already used it over the holiday weekend. I then asked if they could just send me the bigger basket and that is what they are going to do. I understand about others saying the 2009s come with the smaller basket but Albee is telling people it comes with the bigger basket. Had I known that I would have ordered the crimson/gray instead to get the bigger basket. Albee shouldnt be giving our wrong info and if they do then they need to make it right which they did in my case. Good luck to you.

I'm glad they're sending out the bigger basket since that's what they promised you before you made your purchase. :thumbsup: I got my 2009 Mini from Albee in October and it did come with the 2010 basket. The material is much nicer than the 2009 basket IMO.. I'm sure you'll be happy with it once it arrives!

I don't mean to be rude, but if Albee says I'm going to get the bigger basket that's what I expect to receive. The very first question I asked Albee was when they would be getting the 2010 model in because I was going to wait for the bigger basket. That's when the told me I could order now and still get the bigger basket. I paid the same price as the 2010 model (grey/crimson) $399 w/ a 17% off discount. So no, I did not get the discount because it was a 2009 model.....geez

FYI, Baby Jogger doesn't even have the baskets in stock yet, so it's going to be awhile.
My replacement 2009 basket was on backorder and took several months to get in.
Just to update my original post. I recieved my double Baby Jogger Mini and it did have have the updated basket. There was even a sticker on the box that stated it had the bigger basket.
Love, love, love it!!!! Can't wait to start using it. I just don't understand why the colors aren't a little bit better thought out. I got the stone/black...knowing the stone would be light but why would they put a light color right at the feet of the stroller? Again, I knew it was going to be like this just wish the material by the feet would have been a darker color.
