First time ever, 4 yr old ds has begun to fuss a lot about his straps in his carseat, both the crotch strap and shoulder straps. Says they are too tight, even when they are more loose than they should be. Granted, he recently has been sick and he has mild sensory issues that perk up when he isn't at his best..but is this common at this age?? I moved him into his EFTA in my car from our Decathlon/FPSVD, so I wonder if that's part of it...and I did move the crotch strap out for him.

Is it time to move him into a bigger seat? He's got a good year's worth of growth, I think, in either seat. (40" tall, long torso, not yet 35 lbs). He's on the top slots of the Decathlon/FPSVD w/a half inch plus to go.

Thanks!

My 3 1/2 year old sometimes fusses about "too tight." I just fiddle with the harness until she says it's "better." Sometimes that involves redistributing a continuous harness, redistributing the looseness at the hips to sit differently, etc. No actual loosening-- just fiddling it around a bit until they hit in a more comfortable spot.
