MA expiration date

Is there any way to find out what it is if the sticker came off the seat? I think dd's MA might be getting close to it's expiration date. I can't really remember when I bought it. I got it for Hannah, but I THINK it was when Brett went into the RA that she had previously. I don't remember when that was either. I should be taking notes:)

There are 2 stickers - one should be under the cover and the other on the outside of the frame. I hope not both have fallen off :)

The one under the butt had more disintegrated than fallen off, actually. The manual under there had also melded together. Would the sticker on the outside be identical to the one inside? I did not find it on the outside, and I looked. I had the cover off and everything.

A lot of car seats have the expiration date molded into the plastic of the shell, but I can't remember if the MA is one of them. Anyway, try looking for a 'Do Not Use After...' date stamped into the plastic somewhere on the back or underside of the seat. If you still can't find it, call Britax and see if they can help you. If you can't remember when you bought it and the stickers have fallen off, I would assume that it's going to expire soon and replace it ASAP. Better safe then sorry. :)

Britax doesn't have a "Do not use after" stamp, but the DOM of the shell is molded into the back. From my observations, it's usually the same month as the DOM of the seat. The sticker on the inside is usually within the same week (just a day or two earlier).

eta: here's a pic. it may be behind the black harness guard-

Thanks. Is it one of the clock type things or is the date in the circle? I think I did see a little circle like that. A couple place numbers were molded in that didn't look like dates, but 03 was in them.

If you have three little circles, one will be month, one date, one year. Sometimes the order is different than what we're used to. Very often, the circle is made up of numbers, such as 1-12 (for the month circle) which can help you tell which circle is which.

There are two dials, the top one is the year, the bottom is the month, so you can get within 30 days of expiration based on the shell. I was thinking one of them had the day as well (I've seen dials with the day incorporated into the month dial with the two digit day on either side of the arrow. apparently that wasn't Britax that I was remembering.).

If you registered it, you can call Britax and find out for sure. Their model/serial number tracking is very specific.
