Is the adjuster on the TFP really better than on TF?

I am really loving my TF right now BUT I am so tired of breaking my hand every time I need to loosen the harness. I've read here that the adjuster is better, but from looking at stock photos of the TFP it looks the same. Can anyone who has had both confirm whether it's better or not?

So, the anti-rebound foot must put a gap between the adjuster and the foot? Wouldn't that mean that TFP takes up more room front to back than the regular TF?

It's a small gap, but enough to make access easier. yep, still have to grab it from behind to get it tight, but it's easier imo. It doesn't seem to take up anymore room in my car front to back than the regular tf.
