Can you tell me about the TC test and Marathon?

Several times I've seen it mentioned about the Marathon failing the Canadian test (Transport Canada I think). I did watch a bunch of the videos but I must be missing something.

Can someone sum it up for me?

Was it just a problem with FF MA?

FF marathon failed in a few crashes only in certain vehicles in certain conditions, some involving seat misuse. It is actually quite complicated in the details, there is a 1000 page thread about it

search the canadian section for the thread, get a good bowl of popcorn, and have fun reading :D

It doesn't look like it was tested in either of my vehicles. 03 Altima & 04 Sedona.

So....should I be concerned? I know that's hard to answer, but WWYD?

DD3 about 30 lbs 2 1/2 years currently in RF MA 33lb limit.

I have a Radian ready for her, but I'm currently using it for a back up seat for DD2 FF so I don't have to lug the Frontier to different cars. I originally hadn't planned on moving her till she topped out the weight limit of the MA.

Should I move her to the Radian now?

I've also put other FF children in this MA. I'm wondering if I should discontinue doing so.

I'd planned on using the MA for RF daycare girl. Age 1 25lbs. Am I right that the problems are with higher weight/height kids?

I coming up with more questions than answers the more I read.
